THE CONFERENCE

Plantation agriculture is entering a defining era marked by rapid changes, rising global expectations, and unprecedented challenges. Climate variability, labour scarcity, stagnant yields, market turbulence, and shifting consumer demands continue to reshape how plantation crops, particularly oil palm, are managed and sustained. At the same time, emerging technologies, scientific breakthroughs, and new sustainability frameworks offer powerful opportunities to transform the sector for the future.

Malaysia remains one of the world’s leading producers of palm oil, playing a vital role in global food security and the vegetable oil market. With more than 5 million hectares under cultivation, the industry contributes significantly to national economic growth, employment, and the livelihoods of millions. To remain competitive and responsible in an increasingly scrutinised global landscape, plantations must embrace innovation, strengthen resilience, and accelerate sustainability practices aligned with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), and key certification standards such as MSPO and RSPO.

The Incorporated Society of Planters (ISP) proudly presents the International Planters Conference 2026 (IPC 2026), scheduled to be held from 13–14 July 2026 at the Royale Chulan, Kuala Lumpur. Building on decades of industry leadership and the success of previous national seminars, IPC 2026 elevates the conversation to a global platform with the theme “Future-Proofing Plantation Agriculture: Innovation, Resilience, and Sustainability.” This theme underscores the need to reimagine plantation systems that remain productive, profitable, and environmentally responsible amidst accelerating global change with existing wisdom and culture.

The Conference will convene planters, plantation companies, industry leaders, researchers, agronomists, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and technology providers to explore practical strategies and forward-looking solutions across the plantation value chain. Through in-depth presentations, technical papers, panel discussions, and case studies, participants will examine current challenges, emerging trends, and actionable pathways for ensuring long-term resilience and competitiveness in plantation agriculture.

IPC 2026 will feature three focused sessions aligned with the industry’s most urgent priorities:

  1. Operational Excellence and Management
  2. Mechanisation, Automation and Digitalisation / Talent, Leadership and Workforce of the Future
  3. Regenerative Agriculture and Sustainability

A special highlight of the Conference will be a high-level panel discussion on “Palm Oil Industry: Meeting Demands of a Changing World”,bringing together global experts to discuss the future direction of the plantation sector – from field practices to market expectations.

With your support, IPC 2026 aims to gather over 800 participants and 50 exhibitors, creating a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. The exhibition will showcase the latest technologies, innovations, equipment, products, and services designed to enhance operational efficiency, environmental stewardship, and long-term profitability.

We invite you to join us at IPC 2026, a key international forum where ideas are shared, innovations are explored, and the future of plantation agriculture is shaped.

A warm and heartfelt welcome to all delegates, speakers, exhibitors, and industry partners.
